Contract-to-Hire Jobs

While most of the job seekers, especially the fresh graduates, turn to find more competitive and full-time job roles, we can't necessarily say the same for the contracting or contract to hire jobs.

What is a Contracting or Contract to hire job?

To explain it in brief, a contract to hire job is a temporary job role that allows an employer to hire a new candidate on a probationary basis. Some of these jobs convert into permanent positions after a few months. Some of them come with a contract lasting for a few months only.

Most of the contract-to-hire jobs in the United States are under the W-2 position and enable the candidate to enjoy the benefits that any other full-time employee would get. You are subjected to tax deductions, so make sure that you keep the same in mind. However, there are two primary types of contracting jobs:

  • Employee-based contracting jobs
  • Contract to hire positions under independent contractors
