What's the role?We are looking for a Program Manager to join a seasoned global team of Buyside Implementations Program Managers. This expanding team is primarily responsible for ensuring our largest, most strategic global clients that are implementing enterprise-wide Bloomberg solutions are successfully on-boarded to the Bloomberg platform. Successful delivery of these complex client engagements translates to projects delivered on-time, on-budget, on-scope, and to high client satisfaction. The individual will collaborate with teams across Bloomberg including Product, Engineering, Sales/Account Management and work closely with the Client Program sponsor/Executive team and client PMO. Strong leadership, effective communication and executive presence are critical to success. The position will report to the Global Head of Buyside Implementations and will be based in New York.
We'll trust you to:- Lead strategic conversations across Bloomberg products & service teams to facilitate of the project charter that will enable our clients to reach their target operating model.
- Establish program governance & discipline to drive consistency and quality against Program Delivery agreements.
- Partner with the client-side Program Management team and Bloomberg implementation teams to create a project plan to achieve program completion & success to provide aggregated, normalized information about the program delivery and underlying projects.
- Collaborate with Implementations, Product Management, Engineering, & Account Management teams to support program delivery
- Manage interdependencies between and among projects including scope, schedule, risk, issues, and changes
- Actively lead tactical meetings (internal and with client) to deliver projects
- Escalate risks & issues responsibly to both internal project teams and clients alike
- Monitor KPIs for both the program and the individual projects comprising the program
- Drive reporting to provide aggregated, normalized information about the program delivery and underlying projects to Client Program sponsor/Executive team
You'll need to have:- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial products, strong preference within the Buyside arena
- Required to have subject matter expertise in buy-side order management system technology servicing large institutional asset managers during business transformations
- Sound working knowledge of the Bloomberg Professional Service
- Experience in driving complex and high visibility programs and managing executive stakeholders
- Excellent reporting, communication, and written/oral presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work seamlessly with project management systems and tools
- Strong executive presence & leadership
- Comfort and resilience in multi-tasking
- Ability to be a self-starter who is organized, detailed, responsible and a proactive collaborator
- Critical thinking and superior efficient problem-solving skills
