Position Summary Department: WPH OB/GYN Hospitalists Status: Pool/ PRN/ Per Diem OBGYN MIDWIFE HOSPITALIST IN ORLANDO! The Orlando Health Medical Group (OHMG) invites you to explore a full-time OBGYN Midwife Hospitalist opportunity at the nation's premier dedicated women's hospital, Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies! The OHMG Women's Service Line is seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care for diverse members of our central Florida community, principally providing coverage services to private practice providers. The hospitalist group serves as a part of the Orlando Health Women's Institute structured as an exclusively hospital-based model with time spent at the Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women & Babies in addition to the new Orlando Health Lake Mary hospital slated for completion in early 2025! Clinical opportunities include labor and delivery, postpartum care, and comprehensive clinical care in our Women's Triage unit. Qualifications Education/Training o Master's degree (or higher) from a program accredited by the Accreditation Commision for Midwifery Education (ACME). Licensure/Certification o Certified as a Certified Nurse-Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) renewed every five (5) years in compliance with the AMCB recertification methods (Certificate Maintenance Program vs. Reexamination). o Ability to obtain an active licensure in Florida as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with a qualification of Certified Nurse-Midwife renewed every two (2) years in compliance with the Florida Board of Nursing. o Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification; and NRP certification. Experience o Two (2) years of experience as a practicing Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM); candidates who do not meet this requirement but have a strong midwifery/nursing background (within the specialty) may be considered. o Preferred experience with first assisting in surgical procedures; candidates who do not meet this requirement but exhibit a willingness to learn this skill will be considered.
