The Position:As a Senior Fullstack Engineer at Placements.io, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our cutting-edge advertising technology platform. You will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to build robust and scalable solutions that empower our clients in the digital advertising industry.

The Engineering team at Placements tackles a variety of different challenges, including big data problems, perfecting the user experience, and service scalability and reliability. There are opportunities across the stack and you will have the freedom to work on what features interest
Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain features for Placements.io's advertising technology platform, covering both frontend and backend components.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Build efficient, scalable, and secure code following best practices and coding standards.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs to ensure optimal system performance and stability.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, provide feedback, and encourage knowledge sharing within the team.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of applications to ensure high reliability and user satisfaction.
- Continuously research and evaluate emerging technologies to propose innovative solutions and improvements to existing systems.
- Work in an agile development environment, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and other team activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product management and quality assurance, to ensure successful product delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in web development to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid experience as a Fullstack Engineer, preferably in a fast-paced startup or technology-focused environment.
- Proficiency in modern frontend technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and frameworks/libraries like React.js, Angular, or Antd.
- Strong understanding of backend technologies and frameworks - Ruby on Rails an asset.
- Experience with server-side development and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of database systems such as PostgreSQL
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services, such as Heroku, AWS or Google Cloud.
- Ability to write clean, modular, and maintainable code with a focus on performance, scalability, and security.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and proficiency in using related collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset to identify and resolve technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Prior experience in the digital advertising industry or related domains is a plus.

Compensation:Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of many compensation, benefits and other reward opportunities we provide.
The expected salary range for this role in the selected city:
New York, NY - USD $130,000 - $170,000
The base salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, education, work location, and other business and organizational needs.
