Description:
The Field Coach is responsible for achieving or exceeding district sales and profit plan by motivating and developing management teams towards achieving operational excellence.
Essential Functions:
• Review and analyze the stores data points, sales plans, projections, and expenses
• Motivate and develop store management
• Assure that guests are treated promptly and courteously; products are of specified quality and quantity; equipment is maintained properly; sanitation standards are complied with; and stores are maintained in a neat and attractive manner.
• Select, develop, and maintain proper staffing in the stores through planning to meet or exceed operational excellence
• Direct and coordinate store management in community relations activities
• Identify, coordinate, and participate in effective local store marketing programs
• Ensure that members of the management team are provided developmental and training opportunities necessary to create potential candidates for growth in management
• Administer, analyze and enforce appropriate store level financial controls to ensure proper accountability of company funds. This would include but limited to: gross profit, inventory control, cash, sales, plan expenses and turnover.
• Coordinate and implement maintenance programs to assure proper maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment
• Exercise judgment and decision-making pertaining to all team member relations and personnel actions (i.e. timely performance evaluations, conflict resolution handling, disciplinary actions, team member counseling, etc.) to develop attitudes of cooperation, enthusiasm, and professionalism
• Responsible for the assisting in hiring, termination, performance appraisals, performance increases and promotions (within policy) for all store management
• Ensures that members of the management team keep stores properly staffed with hourly support people.
• Adhere to budgeted labor hours set force by the Director of Operations
• Develop an environment of collaboration and cooperation when communicating with the public, corporate office and outside vendors
• Coordinates and conducts weekly store management meetings to assure timely and accurate communications, to help ensure all management is knowledgeable of policies, procedures and current operational activities
• Conduct and administer store visitations on a timely basis to evaluate the team's progress and performance. This pertains to all operational aspects of the store's sales, profit, cleanliness, quality, service as well as their proficiency executing various operating systems.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales, gross profit and expenses adhering to the district budget
• Enforce company and operational policies and procedures to ensure that all personnel within his/her stores are knowledgeable of and are practicing said policies and procedures
• Conduct training of general managers and site managers
• Participate in remodels/closures and acquisitions
• Adhere to company mission statement and core values
• Responsible for all cash and audit targets
• Ensure in-stock inventory plans are met by all locations
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3-5 years' experience in a leadership role
