POSITION SUMMARY:The Creative Director is responsible for delivering powerful and innovative creative campaigns that position Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE) brands at the top of their respective industries.
A senior leader within the organization, the Creative Director will guide a talented and growing in-house department of copywriters, designers, and project managers to produce timely, relevant, and integrated campaigns. These campaigns will serve many business functions including Marketing, Sales, Corporate Partnerships, Community Engagement, and more.
This role will focus on:
- Developing an in-house creative philosophy and process that maximizes internal resources: ingesting briefs, assigning resources, guiding conceptual development, and packaging and presenting work for feedback and approvals
- Creating campaign ideas - big and small - from tagline to manifesto to key art direction
- Building truly integrated platforms that stretch campaign ideas across TV, radio, digital, social, in-arena, PR, experiential, and more
- Mentoring a highly talented staff looking for growth and development through structured goal planning, regular meetings, work reviews, and training
- Serving as the ambassador of the creative department on the larger marketing and organizational leadership team to build a culture rooted in discipline, respect, excellence, and fun

YOU HAVE:- At least 8 years of experience in developing integrated campaigns; ad agency or in-house creative team preferred
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, turning insights into ideas into action
- Experience conceptualizing visual identity systems and providing strategic art direction
- Strong background in copywriting and editing with the ability to teach and elevate our staff
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to optimize a company-wide creative process
- Culturally inclined with a good understanding of how to authentically apply trends to our brands
- Digitally savvy with proven experience creating for new media
- Experience leading mid-sized teams (6-10 people) to strong results

- Onsite role at our office in downtown Vancouver
