FGS Global (FGS) is seeking a
Director, Digital Strategy, contributing to the continued growth and development of the firms' digital offerings. The position is hybrid with an expectation of at least three days per week in the office, based in our New York office.
As a member of the Digital Strategy team, you will be responsible for recognizing opportunities and building digital communications programs in support of our clients globally. These programs will focus on building smart, sophisticated, and measurable programs that support FGS' core suite of services. In this role, you will help our clients and teams develop effective digital content programs which includes outlining content plans, guiding client teams on the production of digital content, developing editorial calendars, drafting various units of digital content (i.e. blogs, articles, social media posts, audio scripts, etc.), and coordinating with the other parts of the Digital Strategy and Creative teams to build effective digital programs. Digital amplification strategies, both paid and organic, are important for this role.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
- Design and pitch digital programs with prospective clients with a focus on content development and amplification.
- Develop and execute client ready social media strategies, with a proven ability to grow followings, increase engagement and identify new platform opportunities.
- Educate, train, and evangelize digital content development internally.
- Lead and manage full scale digital content programs.
- Build connections with clients and other partners, satisfy requests, earn trust and identify areas of opportunity to build the success of our client relationships and validate future digital initiatives at FGS Global.
- Support team projects including but not limited to paid media programs, social media strategy, content development, and website management.
Required Experience and Skills:
- 6+ years of work experience in relevant digital content programs and social media management.
- 3+ years working with and across multiple teams and disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following fields: digital content development, social media management, and online analytics.
- Ability to identify and negotiate partnerships across traditional and digital vendors.
- Self-driven, with a proven ability to set strategy.
- Confident and competent, with experience interfacing with clients.
- Analytical, with the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Excellent presentation and verbal communication skills.
- Strong writing skills.
- Curiosity about new channels and technology.
Additional Preferred Experience and Skills:
- 3+ years working in an agency environment.
- Experience managing teams is a plus.
- General knowledge of financial communication practices and corporate finance.
- Experience working on digital projects for financial transactions such as M&A, investor relations, IPOs, or proxy defense.
- Working knowledge of other digital marketing areas such as paid promotion, digital reputation management, and search engine optimization (SEO).
- Comfort and track record in rapid response and/or crisis scenarios.
- Self-starter able to work within a distributed team across multiple locations.
This position requires the availability to work outside of normal office hours, including nights and weekends, when business needs arise.

New York City Salary Range
$100,000-$150,000 USD
