SSOE is looking to hire an
Electrical Engineering Group Manager to join our team. You will have the opportunity to lead and manage a team of designers, engineers, and support staff to ensure the technical competency and quality of work performed by the staff. This person will also coordinate with various disciplines within the organization (architectural, mechanical, process/chemical, structural, etc.) and will be an integral part of problem-solving complex designs for state-of-the-art industrial and high-tech manufacturing facilities for the world's leading high-tech companies. This position will be a hybrid position, requiring occasional onsite work.
Responsibilities- Effectively lead, manage, and mentor the Electrical Engineering staff with an emphasis on employee growth, project success, and overall performance.
- Set clear technical goals and objectives, assess technical progress, and instill a performance-oriented culture with a focus on technical accountability. Deploy a strategy that builds, retains, and engages all employees through technical inclusion and teamwork.
- Coordinates with various engineering disciplines within the organization (architectural, mechanical, process/chemical, structural, etc.) to collaborate, optimize, and improve work and staff sharing by participating in multi-discipline technical strategy sessions.
- Assists all levels of Management in articulating technical discipline capability requirements in support of strategic and business objectives.
- Identifies, champions, mentors, and coaches the development of our less experienced staff and looks for ways to elevate the technical and professional expertise of the team.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
- Active Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain an active PE license is required.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing, semiconductor, high technology, and/or battery manufacturing industry is essential.
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $150,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
