ResponsibilitiesWhat you'll be challenged to do:TranSystems Corporation is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager in their Morristown Office. The candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of civil/highway/bridge transportation projects as well as assisting in developing new clients and maintaining existing client relationships. The successful candidate will have a diverse background with extensive experience and capable to lead mid to large multidiscipline transportation projects.
Primary Responsibilities (others may be included):Responsible for overall Project Management including scope development, contract negotiations, staff management, project delivery, quality, and safety.
- Assures that projects conform to the contractual agreements.
- Assures that projects are completed within the allocated time and budget.
- Responsible for client satisfaction.
- Provide team leadership.
- Plans, organizes, and supervises the work of a staff of engineers and technicians
- Grow and mentor staff, help recruit, and be a positive role model
- Assists with the implementation of the New jersey/New York Area marketing and business development goals
- Assists with writing proposals and making presentations
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
- Serves as a technical specialist for the organization for an assigned area of responsibility
- Perform Independent Reviews of major projects
- Served as lead designer on projects as required
QualificationsWhat you bring to our firm:- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering field required
- 10+ plus years of progressive experience in design and management of major highway/roadway/civil engineering transportation projects
- Strong communications skills
- Project management and contract administration experience
- Ability to lead a design team on multiple assignments
- Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates
- Knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint and various engineering and scheduling software
- Knowledge of Microstation/Geopak/Openroads technology
- Licensed NJ Professional Engineer required
- Experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and estimates for NJ Turnpike Authority, NJDOT and local agencies
- Actively engages multiple perspectives when solving problems, seeks to learn from peers, and encourages reciprocal learning among team members.
- Actively advocates for full inclusion in the workplace, fostering an environment that welcomes diversity and values equity for all employees, partners, clients, and the communities that TranSystems serves.
