Being part of Accenture Public Sector Consulting means becoming an expert working collaboratively with our clients to make big changes happen in the delivery of public services to Canadians. To us, this is all about turning constant change and disruption into continuous reinvention. We are an innovation and data led company that works at the heart of our clients' organizations so that no matter how complex the business challenge, we face the future with confidence.

You Are:

If you love solving challenges and not just studying them, and take pride in having an impact on how our Public Service mandates are delivered, then Accenture Consulting is the right place for you. Join us to develop your ideas into provocative points of view and transformative insights that help shape programs and services, and the experiences of citizens and public sector employees. You'll work with an amazing and diverse mix of world-class experts with access to one of the most robust portfolios of capabilities and ecosystem relationships in the industry. As a Director, you will be a coach to develop our up-and-coming leaders in their careers, and an orchestrator of our diverse multi-disciplinary workforces to solve our client's challenges. Together, you'll do so much more than consult.

The Work:

Management Consulting professionals design and implement process and change interventions that integrate strategy, technology and people to enable process improvements that create value for clients. People in our Public Sector group serve an array of clients across Federal, Provincial and Municipal government, non-profit, and educational industries. This position is a senior resource that will focus on our Western Canada Public Sector portfolio.

The Public Service Director is experienced in developing and nurturing relationships, identifying and shaping innovative approaches to address client challenges, delivering programmatic, operational, and organization design, transformation and service delivery in performance and outcome improvements. The Director will also design and implement business changes that drive Public Service function and digital operating model transformation, focusing on tasks relating to people and process.

Coming here means future-proofing your career and going as far as your ambition takes you. Becoming a tech-savvy, well-rounded, multi-disciplined and market-relevant advisor doesn't happen by chance. We invest in training and development in a big way, so you can build your future along with ours, creating an impactful career unique to you. Ultimately, we believe we is greater than me and that diverse perspectives lead to the best solutions. Joining Accenture Consulting means you will learn, innovate and lead, and together we will improve the way the world works and lives.

Here's What You Need:
  • Passion for working with Public Sector clients to identify, drive and enable citizen-impacting transformations
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the Public Sector space
  • Minimum 5 years experience in the consulting industry or equivalent in an internal consulting role
  • Minimum 5 years of leading large and complex teams effectively, including planning / structuring analytical work, facilitating workshops, driving delivery, and implementing transformation recommendations
  • Demonstrated experience driving executive storytelling and value management/realization
  • Proven track record of driving consulting sales with Public Sector clients (or within a Public Sector organization)
  • Curiosity about technology and its influences on business and work
  • Experience advising senior leaders
  • Desire to mentor and coach others
  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to travel and work in Canada
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US and other countries across our Global footprint where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement.

Bonus Points if:
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to address strategic components of the Public Sector industry
  • You perform as a long-term trusted advisor on how technology is influencing the Public Sector, and can guide industry and technology specific considerations for a successful transformation
  • Well networked with Public Service client executives in the Canadian landscape (ideally provincially in the Western provinces)
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage network and experience to originate opportunities, pipeline, and Consulting deals

What's In It For You?
  • Competitive benefits, including a fair and balanced parental leave policy.
  • Fantastic opportunities to develop your career across industries with local and global clients.
