Job DescriptionThe Region Manager will be focused on building and maintaining a highly motivated and results driven sales organization while supporting our client, America's #1 pre-paid wireless provider. This position will work with a team of field sales specialists to swiftly acquire new accounts behind a powerful marketing campaign.
The Region Manager will also be responsible for a sales process that will drive high closure and after acquisition utilization of the offering. The Region Manager will coach, train, develop, and mentor their field sales team, build and execute market and account plans, collect real-time account/competitive information, partner with the client to drive innovation and value, and ultimately drive business results. The highlighted statements are program specific for financial services roles.
Essential Functions: - Manages the field business results
- Establishes Regional and individual performance objectives with a high level of accountability
- Coordinates and summarizes field data for analysis
- Provides field insights and competitive intelligence to client and field teams
- Ensures that team schedules reflect the strategy of the Right Store, the Right Day with the Right Person
- Leads a sales team by showing them what right looks like in the field
- Creates PowerPoint, Excel & Word reports that summarize Regional field performance
- Presents Regional summaries to Client & MarketSource Representatives with recommendations based on industry trends and directions
- Ensures operational excellence in all areas
- Approves expense reports and time & attendance of direct reports and ensuring financial accountability
- Provides Excellent Client Customer Service
- Ensures any client concerns are solved effectively and promptly
- Establishes an environment of excellent client communication in content and cadence
- Shares best practices with other Regions to drive sales and operational success and client satisfaction
- Ensures all products and displays are merchandised effectively according to current Plan-O-Gram visual presence standards
- Walks the Experience Center with Client & MarketSource Corporate Representatives and others to discuss any current merchandising issues
Supervisory or Management Responsibility/Decision Making Level: - Hires, leads and manages a team of 10+ full and part time field sales team
- Communicates clear and specific job expectations and holding team accountable to expectations
- Observes and evaluates Reps' job performance and providing timely, appropriate feedback
- Evaluates and makes decisions about Reps' performance-based pay increases, bonuses, and promotions
- Manages the progressive discipline process for Reps including corrective actions and terminations
- Coaches, trains and develops Reps informally and through formal training programs, providing both informal (e.g., verbal coaching) and formal (e.g., written evaluation) job performance-based feedback
- Ensures that all reviews and call reports are completed on time
- Communicates client & MarketSource objectives to Reps
- Communicates and manages MarketSource succession planning for Reps
- Takes appropriate action to minimize turnover
- Visits each assigned market as needed
Minimum Education and/or Experience: - Bachelor 's Degree in Business Administration or related field required
- 3-5 years of experience in a retail environment driving sales, 1-2 years sales management experience
Requisite Abilities and/or Skills: - Must have a documented track record of success in sales, sales management, and managing in an aggressive sales environment; proven experience developing, implementing, and managing high performance sales programs with aggressive goals and delivering successful results
- High tolerance for ambiguity demonstrated in the ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities, responsibilities and business needs
- Demonstrated leadership, motivational and influencing skills
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook), Windows, Internet
Additional Job Requirements: - Ability to travel approximately 50%- 80% of time in market with some overnight travel and/or airline travel required
