As a part of our national advisory team in Dallas, you will be an integral part in supporting accounting advisory projects in NYC, DC, Boston, SF, and Seattle. We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering unique solutions around corporate transactions, financial reporting, and technical/operational accounting to our Fortune 500 clients across the country. This is an entrepreneurial role in a rapidly growing firm where you can have an immediately positive impact.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide various accounting advisory services including (but not limited to):
• Financial Reporting (including the design of reporting processes, restatement assistance, and traditional 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K filings)
• Operational Accounting (addressing the need for continuous improvement and optimization of the finance and accounting functions)
• Accounting Standard Implementation (such as ASC 606 and ASC 842 for both public and private companies)
• Corporate Transactions

Responsibilities:
    • Participate in and/or lead teams providing Accounting Advisory services
    • Communicate effectively with clients to convey project findings, updates, and recommendations
    • Create presentations that effectively inform and influence client decisions
    • Prepare high-quality deliverables for management review
    • Collaborate with CrossCountry and client team members regarding business issues and potential solutions
    • Assist Managing Consultants with project administration (e.g. project setup and planning, budgeting, account management, billing, etc.)
    • Foster a spirit of collaboration among team members
    • Participate in advancing the firm and Accounting Advisory practice through committees and internal initiatives (e.g. recruiting, business development, marketing, etc.)
    • Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%


Required Experience & Qualifications:
    • 3+ years of experience advising commercial companies in one or more of the following areas: financial reporting, operational accounting, implementing new accounting policy
    • Prior experience in professional services (public accounting or advisory firm), preferably at the "Big Four" or with a management consulting firm
    • In-depth knowledge of accounting standards (U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS)
    • Consistent success in building and developing strong client relationships
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to foster an environment of collaboration and excellence
    • Detail oriented with the ability to think from a "big picture" perspective
    • Creativity, confidence, and flexibility
    • High energy, enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit

Additional Experience Desired in One or More of the Following Areas:
    • Experience supporting transactions as a result of, or in preparation for, one or more of the following areas: mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, spin-off, carve-out, IPO
    • Experience supporting internal audit and/or risk services in one or more of the following areas: internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance, governance
    • Experience advising commercial companies in one or more of the following areas: finance optimization, operations improvement, business process improvement, change management, program or project management, data analytics, robotic process automation (RPA)


Certifications Desired:
    • CPA, CIA, CFA, CA, CISA, CISM, CIPP, PMP


Education:
    • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or similar business or technical discipline
