Mark Thomas is adding an Operations Manager to the team! This position will be responsible for overall project management support for a broad, complex portfolio of projects that require high levels of functional integration and change management. This position reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborates with many project teams, business partners, and leaders across the organization. The Operations Manager supervises assigned operations team members to support project managers with project delivery in monitoring and interpreting KPIs and related actions for effective management of scope of work, budget, timeline, change orders and risk, to ensure successful completion of the project. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES- Prioritizes workload for the operations team; aids in resolving escalated project support issues.
- Coordinates with internal team members to delegate tasks, give or receive project updates and move projects toward the finish line.
- Prepares and presents project status reports as needed to the COO and other senior leaders.
- Participates in project reviews, risk reviews, and project debriefs with PC's and PM's; discusses ongoing projects issues, project outcomes, and lessons learned as the basis for future planning.
- Communicates effectively within the organization, and acts as a positive, cooperative change manager.
- Performs regular audits on projects and platforms to ensure deliverables are progressing, blockers are being routinely removed, procedures are being followed, and platforms are maintained.
- Manages day-to-day operations activities, overall project resourcing, and project budget spending.
- In collaboration with the COO and other key stakeholders, designs, implements, and analyzes project delivery initiatives aimed at efficiency, quality, and capability enhancements in delivery operations; builds and rolls out processes designed to project management/delivery as assigned by COO.
- Supports the development and implementation of reporting templates, dashboards, templates, and metrics to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of projects
- Understands and actively works with/within delivery operations processes, cost flows, and financial tracking systems.
- Works with COO to analyze data and draw/extract insights that will guide the business forward.
- Ensures the operations team supports the project managers and project teams as needed in monitoring and interpreting KPIs and related actions for effective management of scope of work, budget, timeline, change orders and risk, to ensure successful completion of the project.
- Leads and manages operations team members in safe, professional execution of all assigned projects; provides coaching and training for continuous learning.
- Maintains performance against agreed metrics of assigned projects; escalates at-risk project issues to the COO as appropriate.
- Participates in project risk reviews; ensures all contracts are reviewed and flagged to Company standard and ensures timely communication with all company stakeholders regarding contract changes; maintains a risk register with mitigation plans and actions.
- Understands contract requirements and ensures project delivery in accordance with agreed systems and processes.
- Provides contract risk review analysis for high profile projects or as escalated by the Contract Compliance administrator (in conjunction with the Company Risk Manager).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, civil engineering, or related field required.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in operations or project management and project delivery.
- Skilled in personnel management, resource management, and change management.
- Strong understanding of business operations and finances in a professional service setting.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex contracts, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal stakeholders.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusion.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with a variety of unique and diverse people and personalities.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to meet, maintain driver eligibility.

The offered rate of compensation (California locations only) will be based on individual education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location. The base compensation range for this position is $98,900.00 - $175,400.00 annually.
