Model and Simulation Engineer - Expert

***This position requires an active TS/Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI) clearance with the ability to obtain a Counterintelligence polygraph to be considered. ***

Cherokee Analytics is seeking Model and Simulation Engineers to provide support to defense analytical requirements.

Compensation & Benefits:

Model and Simulation Engineer - Expert Responsibilities Include:

• Designs, develops, and conducts simulations against hard targets, missiles, and other intelligence gaps and supports wargaming exercises in a simulated environment.
• Conducts M&S architecture definition, implementation, validation, and testing.
• Interacts with users to define and optimize new M&S functionality for applications.
• Develops and visualizes operational concepts, performs M&S and data analysis to refine, demonstrate, and assess these concepts.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Model and Simulation Engineer - Expert Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in real world application of digital signal processing for data exploitation.
• PhD in physics or engineering with a focus on digital signal processing.
• Experience in leading engineering teams in the development of complex processing capabilities.
• Expert level knowledge of signal detection theory as applied to weak signal recovery.
• Advanced programming and scripting skills.
• Experience in satellite communication systems, technical collection methodologies, and large volume data processing for SIGINT and RF MASINT
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of the labor category activities required to meet mission requirements.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal oversight
• Demonstrates ability to communicate understanding from information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and / or technically advanced.
• Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
• Demonstrates ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.
• Demonstrates ability to develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
• Demonstrates ability to guide teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems.
• Demonstrates ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
