Job SummarySHI is creating a Corporate Accounting Team to own the Group and US entities' reporting functions in New Jersey. The role will be responsible for month-end, financial reporting, governance, and audit support. It is essential that candidates can demonstrate a broad array of both technical and operational reporting skills.

You will be a crucial member of our dynamic Financial Reporting Team, responsible for the successful financial reporting and control under USGAAP. You will be a vital player in the accounting transformation SHI is currently undergoing.
This position will report to Reporting to the Vice-President-Controller.
This position is required to report to the SHI Somerset, NJ office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities- Review work performed by a team of Staff Accountants,
- Review accruals, prepayments, provisions, amortizations, depreciation, and other calculations/journals,
- Review and perform analysis of accounts to determine areas requiring investigation and possible journal adjustments,
- Own other critical elements of the month-end close,
- Review and perform variance and balance analysis to provide commentaries,
- Review and prepare balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring reconciling items are investigated and cleared on a timely basis,
- Assist in managing the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors to provide required information,
- Review and execute controls under the SHI Control Framework,
- Work with other functional areas of Finance (other accounting teams, FP&A, AR, AP, etc.),
- Closely support or own transformation projects,
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university, or relevant work experience required
- Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA or equivalent) is required, with external audit experience a plus,
- 5 years+ financial reporting experience,
Required Skills- Excellent listening, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, a high degree of accountability to self and the team, and a proven ability to work unaided,
- Excellent organizational skills and be able to manage ad hoc requests.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel.
- Efficient written and spoken communication skills.
Additional Information- The estimated annual pay range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
