OverviewKimley-Horn's Pleasanton office is seeking a
Structural Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join their Structures team.
Responsibilities- Design and analyze structures, focusing on new buildings, rehabilitation and repair of existing buildings, PV systems, and site structures.
- Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications using industry-standard software and tools.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop effective structural solutions that meet project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for modifications, repairs, and retrofits.
- Perform structural analysis and modeling using advanced software tools to evaluate the behavior and performance of structures under various load conditions.
- Participate in project meetings, providing technical expertise and guidance to project teams.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, codes, and standards related to vertical structures, and incorporate them into project designs.
Qualifications- 8+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm
- Bachelors or Masters from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering
- "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Proficiency in structural analysis software, such as Risa, RAM, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present technical information to clients.
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality work.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Salary Range: $125,000 to $160,000
