The Central Plains (OK, AR) Transportation team is seeking a talented Traffic Engineer to join our growing team in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, or Rogers! • Be the architect of change: Design, analyze, and implement traffic management and planning solutions that make a real difference in people's lives.
• Develop your expertise: Work on a variety of projects including signal timing plans, intersection improvements, and traffic studies.
• Embrace innovation: Utilize cutting-edge tools like microsimulation modeling to optimize traffic flow and Open Roads Designer to deliver 3D plans
• Make a real impact: Collaborate with colleagues and manage project budgets and schedules to ensure successful project completion.
• Responsible for development and design of traffic engineering projects, preparing traffic studies, signal timing plans, operations analyses, microsimulation modeling, and preparing technical reports.
• Prepares project plans and drawings for various projects including traffic signal design and intersection improvements.
• Performs research, obtains traffic data for studies, prepares calculations, and conducts transportation analyses.
• Responsible for preparing and collaborating technical activities on assigned projects and managing project budget and schedule. Performs field work as directed by a senior engineer.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's in civil or transportation engineering required
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Oklahoma OR ability to obtain the license within 6 months
• 6+ years of experience related to transportation and traffic engineering
Preferred
• Experience using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, Synchro, VISSIM and TRANSCAD required.
• Familiar with concepts and standards of the MUTCD, HCM and AASHTO Geometric Design.
• Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) applications and design would be a plus.
• Ability to participate and collaborate within a project team setting.
• Self-directed and ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
