Senior Systems Engineer

Remote-US Based

Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST

Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Time on-site or time zone may be necessary based on business need.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our Software-As-A-Service (SaaS) infrastructure in Microsoft Azure as well as on-premises servers. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundational knowledge Windows SaaS environment, Microsoft Azure, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support our on-prem and cloud infrastructure.

Some of the things you will be doing:

• Maintain on-premises applications as well as Azure Services.
• Analyze, communicate and mitigate the impact of infrastructure changes.
• Apply "Automation first" approach to projects and changes.
• Monitor and optimize resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Respond to incidents.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Establish monitoring and customize the alerts.
• Create and maintain documentation for on-prem and cloud configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with developers, infrastructure engineers and interact with project managers.
• Follow policies and procedures for time tracking, security, change control, problem and incident management.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and planned maintenance activities after hours and on weekends when needed.

What technical skills, experience and qualifications do I need?

• Strong ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues is crucial. You should be able to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
• Strong scripting skills with PowerShell, Azure CLI and Yaml
• Microsoft Entra, Active Directory, Group Policies, DFS, Windows Server infrastructure
• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools, such as Azure DevOps, Github and Ansible
• Azure - PaaS, networking, FrontDoor, databases and storage, hybrid infrastructure with on prem and cloud, migration of applications to cloud
• Azure Container application hosting and management
• Experience with IaC frameworks, such as ARM, Bicep, Terraform
• ServiceNow
