Your Opportunity An opportunity exists in Stantec's Nashville, TN office for a highly motivated Senior Project Manager in our Transportation Group. This role will provide supervision and guidance to a group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals for accuracy and completeness, and maintaining schedules.

- Develop value-added solutions to clients' needs and lead the successful pursuit of contracts for engineering and consulting services.
- Increase the company's profile within the transportation industry through participation with appropriate business and professional organizations.
- Perform strategic planning and plan execution for business development.
- Planning, organizing, and supervising the work of other transportation professionals.
- Effectively negotiate, plan, monitor, and deliver quality projects and consulting services.
- Reviewing engineered designs and plans for conformance with applicable state, regional, and local agency standards.

Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials - Experience in designing Transportation projects. Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) design experience a plus.
- Proven ability to organize, coordinate, and lead a team of transportation professionals in all disciplines to deliver a complete project.
- Comprehensive understanding of all phases of project design and document production.
- Ability to effectively discuss project issues with clients and reviewing agencies.
- Possesses excellent time-management skills; Thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.
- Thorough understanding of codes and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite.
- Proficient in relevant software used in design and plan production, including MicroStation, OpenRoads/InRoads, and acceptable drainage software.
- Experience in Temporary Traffic Control (MOT) analysis and plan development preferred.
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Education and Experience Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the State of Tennessee (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive engineering and project management experience
The position will primarily work in an office setting. Some travel may be required, such as to visit clients, deliver plans or documents to reviewing agencies or clients, or to attend meetings. May also occasionally visit study areas, construction sites and/or be exposed to outside elements and inclement weather conditions.
