We are seeking an experienced Director of HR & Administration who will be responsible for the overall management of Fun In Motion Toys administrative functions, including Human Resources, Facilities Management, and IT liaison, carrying out the philosophy and objectives established by leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Clearly articulate the organization's mission and culture to staff
  • Effectively communicate organizational and industry information to staff and the Board of Directors
  • Lead and direct organization's informational meetings
  • Gather, interpret, and deliver information to staff in a timely fashion
  • Assure staff understands information as evidenced by staff compliance with, and participation in organization programs, seminars, training, and related activities
  • Communicate with staff effectively resolve conflicts which may hamper relations and productivity, as observed by the Board of Directors
  • Use facility communications resources to inform internal and external audiences of departmental news/achievements/policies
  • Promote effective working relations and work effectively as part of a department/unit team inter and intra-departmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives
  • Plan and maintain an organization's employee relations program, keeping lines of communication open between administration and employees; driving employee engagement initiatives
  • Serve as a mediator in employee disputes and provide guidance on conflict resolution
  • Establish a personnel program and oversee selecting, employing, controlling, and discharging employees and developing and maintaining personnel policies and practices for the organization
  • Manage human resources to assure quality services and promote positive employee relations
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Consistently and fairly implement human resources policies
  • Forecast HR needs and develop plans to address current and future staffing requirements
  • Maintain effective and appropriate staffing by monitoring employee turnover, overtime, and absenteeism
  • Ensure that employee performance appraisals are completed thoroughly and submitted on time
  • Follow human resources policies to implement progressive discipline when necessary
  • Develop performance goals/objectives with each staff member to promote maximum productivity, proficiency, and professional growth, as evidenced by written goals on performance appraisals
  • Be a positive role model
  • Meet regularly with department heads, receive and review department reports, consult and advise on department functions and activities management problems, and make recommendations as needed
  • Provide broad supervision of all departments
  • Frequently evaluate the competence of the workforce and make changes as necessary
  • Keep lines of communication open
  • Seek to maintain high employee morale and a professional, healthful atmosphere and environment in the organization
  • Remain responsible for the day-to-day facilities operations, including supervising the maintenance and alteration of office areas and equipment such as the layout, arrangement, and housekeeping of office facilities; purchasing office supplies, furniture, office equipment, etc., for the entire staff. Maintain physical properties in a good and safe state of repair and operating condition and compliance with building codes and accreditation standards
  • Manage overall administrative activities for the office, supervise administrative and HR staff
  • Manage budgets related to HR and administrative functions
  • Coordinate between Company leadership, staff, and third-party IT Services to develop IT policies and processes
  • Support planning and budgeting for IT purchases and upgrades
  • Develop and maintain office security protocols
  • Participate and supervise a wide range of company projects and events
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred, in a related field such as Human Resources or Organizational Psychology
  • A minimum of five years of workplace management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated organizational leadership and decision-making capability at a senior management level in a collaborative manner
  • Ability to achieve goals and align interests through cooperation and collaboration with other groups and cross-functional teams, even where no direct reporting relationship exists
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in performance management and effective leadership
  • Familiarity with the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS)
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR)
