Description The Leidos Innovation Center (LInC) is seeking, an Electro Optical Engineer in Dayton, Ohio to join our growing, high-performance sensors research team in the development and application of advanced sensing technologies.
Primary Responsibilities- Setup and characterize a wide variety of laboratory optical and other test equipment
- Work closely with other lab members on daily tasks of collecting data, processing it, and documenting results
- Develop software (e.g. algorithms, performance models, etc.) and hardware (e.g. lab equipment, breadboard, etc.) solutions as needed to support analysis
- Design simple mechanical systems & fixtures to support experimentation.
Basic Qualifications To be successful in this role the following must apply to you:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- BS in physics or engineering with 4+ years' of relevant experience, MS with 2+ years' relevant experience.
- Must have experience in one or more of the following: systems design, performance modeling, hardware characterization, test & evaluation, rapid prototyping.
Preferred Qualifications- Active Top-Secret clearance is highly preferred.
- Experience developing both software and hardware.
- Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, and various programming languages.
- Experience with image processing.
- Understanding and experience with CAD modeling.
- Experience with scientific instrumentation and data analysis.
- Experience working with the Air Force Research Laboratory.

Pay Range: Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
