Qualifications
Candidate will have a BSCE, plus a minimum of seven (7) years of public works experience or the equivalent of twelve (12) years of total work experience.
California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer is desired.
Candidates for this position must demonstrate:• Independent thought and decision-making abilities
• Possess management and supervisory skills
• Be adept in establishing and maintaining strong and positive working relationships with clients and public agency personnel as well as in-house professional peers
Candidate's experience must include:
• Supervision of engineering designers (including daily assignments of work, review of work, and quality control)
• Management of project schedules and budgets
• Public agency interaction
• Preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work
Candidates will have demonstrated the ability to develop business together with significant experience in client and public-agency interactions.
Candidate's technical experience to include a combination of the following:
• Capital improvement projects
• Design-build, pipeline, transportation, and water resources projects
• Preliminary engineering design studies (incorporating assessment and consideration of site constraints and potential regulatory issues)
• Preparation/processing of public works
• Improvement plans and specifications
• Development, preparation, and processing of design-build documents for contractor clients and public agency owners.
Position generally requires extensive experience and demonstrated engineering abilities in all aspects of public works infrastructure projects and in interacting comfortably and productively with clients and public agencies.
