Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE)ManagerSummary:The Navy Expeditionary Medical Support Command (NEMSCOM), Cheatham Annex (CAX), Williamsburg, Virginia, is responsible for the design, production, life-cycle management, deployment, and operational readiness of United States (U.S.) Navy DEPMEDS. The Civil Engineering Support Equipment Manager's position is t
o provide management and labor necessary to support the General Warehousing Services to maintain and repair containers, biomedical equipment, and Civil Engineering Equipment (CEE); produce Deployable Medical Systems (DEPMEDS)
Duties and Responsibilities - Generate and produce inventory reports, container staging plans, verify/ validate quantity, identity such as container and CESE identification numbers.
- Prepare any required documentation for certification compliance, provide signed completed copies of transfer documentation, individually scan each document as a pdf file and post to a shared drive provided, develop, and maintain an equipment maintenance status report and maintain the Transfer LOG.
- Store and maintain the CESE in the obligated platform, perform a complete operational test of each piece of CESE annually. perform limited repairs of CESE material to include replacement of headlights, changing tires, charging/replacing batteries, etc.
- Maintain CESE collateral gear and material with the unit, complete annual preventative maintenance for CESE items and preserve CESE to keep in operational condition by performing at a minimum the below tasks:
- Fuel level will be at ¾ Tank for all prime movers; all other CESE shall be ¼ Tank
- All battery disconnects switches, if equipped, shall be shut off. Otherwise, negative battery terminals shall be disconnected and taped.
- Tire pressure shall be maintained at manufacturer recommended pressure.
- Tighten or replace all engine belts.
- Add coolant, oil, transmission, and brake fluids as needed.
- Add electrolyte to batteries as needed, clean terminals and fully charge batteries.
- Changing tires as needed.
- Repair/replace markings, labels, and decals.
- All doors and windows shall be closed.
Qualifications/Training/Skills - Minimum fifteen (15) years of relevant Civil Engineering Equipment Support, managerial experience with broad and thorough knowledge of U. S. Navy Deployable Medical Systems Equipment
- Must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related experience.
- Secret Clearance required
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
o Proficiency in production planning software and tools (e.g., ERP systems).
o Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
