We are seeking an experienced Modeling/Surfacing Artist. The model/surfacing artist is responsible for building CG assets for look development, which may be used in production. They will report to the VFX Supervisor and follow the designs from the Art Director. They will be the first assets designed for shows and drive the overall look and style aesthetic.

RESPONSIBILITIES:- Follow Orthographic Design Packs and Artistic Direction to model/sculpt Characters, Vehicles, and Environments (Organic and Hard Surface)
- Provide UV unwrapping, Surfacing and Texturing
QUALIFICATIONS:- Experience Modelling, UV'ing, and Surfacing in Maya
- Ideally 3 plus years of experience in CG television animation or equivalent experience (ie - VFX, Video Games, VR)
- Experience Texturing in Substance Painter
- Experience Sculpting in ZBrush
- Knowledge of Marvelous Designer a bonus (willingness to learn, a bonus as well)
- Knowledge of Groom/Hair a bonus (willingness to learn, a bonus as well)
- Knowledge and interest in being involved with the technical aspects of the pipeline and helping drive it
- Able and experienced with look dev as well as production ready assets
The anticipated base salary for this position is $2,255.20 to $3,000/week. This role qualifies for benefits pursuant to the collective bargaining agreement. The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors.
