Job Description
Kelly Scott Madison-KSM-is a leading, independent media and advertising agency that futureproofs brands and fuels business growth. Our team of strategists, solutionists, technologists, and data analysts work united alongside incredible brand partners, helping them connect with customers in more meaningful ways today and positioning them to move with the customers of tomorrow. It's always an amazing and transformative time at our growing media agency.

At KSM, it's about more than just a passion for our industry and craft. It's about the impact we make on the lives and livelihoods of those around us, and the highly personal experience we have here. Being an independent, mid-size agency-not too big, not too small, and proudly entrepreneurial-you'll be empowered, recognized, and challenged to grow here. We're adding new Bold Builders and uncommon perspectives to our community and can't wait to learn more about you. But first, let's explore the opportunity...

The Manager role is critical for KSM's clients and solutions. You'll be responsible for overseeing reporting, analysis and insights of business data; including client 1st party data, 3rd party data, and digital/offline media data. You will also be working on developing new analytics offerings for the agency and assisting in creating agency-wide POVs on industry development

Of course, the person in the role adds the true value-not the role itself-so let's talk about you and your winning attributes.

Who you are:
  • A go-getter to be the primary point of contact for key project deliverables
  • Energized by data-driven storytelling and the myriad ways to display and design outputs
  • A polished communicator who explains complex concepts to nontechnical audiences with ease
  • A multi-tasking expert whose efficiency is second to none
  • Obsessed with accuracy. You recognize the weight of your work and take pride in precision.
  • A tenacious problem-solver and critical thinker; you have the will and the way
  • A consummate collaborator who assumes accountability, not ownership, in pursuit of shared goals
  • Unafraid to speak up in any setting and share thoughts or ideas
  • A bold builder. You're known for having gumption, taking initiative, and creating opportunities

Deliver meaningful data analysis and actionable insights:
  • Help clients and colleagues understand and capitalize on their media data
  • Own client relationship and assist in the development of analytics plans, project timelines and day to day working
  • Apply statistics to solve client business problems and translate findings into media recommendations
  • Serve as a support and guide for monthly insights generation, ensuring statistical rigor and accuracy of claims

Quantify media performance and business outcomes:
  • Recommend KPIs across media channels to determine what campaign success looks like
  • Own creation of measurement plans to calculate media effectiveness and drive data strategy
  • Manage data for the development of predictive modeling in outcome-based planning
  • Own implementation of client site tagging structure and media connectivity through tag management platforms (GTM)
  • Steward data flows from campaign platforms and client business datasets to reporting and visualizations infrastructure
  • Work with integrated datasets to assist in the buildout and design of client reporting dashboards and assistive visuals

Foster agency-wide growth and innovation:
  • Drive innovation in analytics, measurement, insights and technology. Bring new thinking and opportunities to the table.
  • Partner with technology platforms like DMPs and CDPs to improve media data ROI
  • Support and build analytics skillsets of team members across all disciplines via trainings and content dissemination
  • Serve as an expert for advanced analytics tools and resources, data visualization (Tableau, Datorama), social listening platforms and proprietary agency analytic approaches.
  • Work with investment teams to establish campaign organization and taxonomies that fuel integrated data sets

Experience you should bring:
  • 5+ yr of experience in Marketing Analytics or Customer Analytics
  • Media Agency experience as the analytics lead for the clients
  • Client relationship experience and ability to share insights and analytics POVs with internal and external stakeholders
  • Team player with ability to mentor and manage Analysts and Sr. Analysts
  • Ability to generate insights from data and share with internal and client teams
  • Advanced understanding or experience in Quantitative measurement such as Regression analysis, clustering etc
  • Exposure and working knowledge of advanced analytics offerings such as MMM, MTA, Testing
  • Strong knowledge of digital & traditional media metrics
  • Working knowledge of website tagging & tracking
  • Strong experience in Data visualization tools especially Datorama
  • Experience in owning reporting timelines & templates, QA processes & reporting QC
  • Digital buying & trading (a plus)
