Vast is looking for a
Compensation & Benefits Analyst, reporting to the
Senior Compensation Manager, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
This will be a full-time,
exempt position located in our
Long Beach location.
Responsibilities: - This role involves conducting market research, participating in salary surveys, and developing competitive and equitable salary recommendations.
- Maintain quarterly compensation related dashboards, regular on-going reporting, and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
- Stay abreast of relevant federal, state and local laws related to compensation and recommend plan changes accordingly.
- Conduct job analysis and market pricing.
- Develops analytical tools and templates to be used for analysis.
- Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the organization; ensuring descriptions accurately reflect the work being performed by incumbents.
- Supports the administration of the company's benefits and health plans and programs.
- Performs quality checks and audits of benefits-related data.
- Responsibilities include benefits tracking cost trends, recommending plan changes to ensure they remain competitive and cost-effective.
- Support open enrollment enrollment.
- Collaborate with vendors and brokers to optimize benefit offerings.
- Develop material and support communication around the total rewards package.
Minimum Qualifications:- 2+ years of experience in compensation or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field or equivalent years of experience
Preferred Skills & Experience:- Ability to prioritize workload, demonstrate initiative, and manage competing priorities.
- Experience in a tech start-up or high growth company.
- Strong technical knowledge of excel required including development of spreadsheets with formulas, functions, pivot tables, lookups.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Additional Requirements:- Ability to travel at least once a year to our Mojave facility and as needed to our Hawthorne location
- Willingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestones
Salary Range: California
$74,000-$120,000 USD
