Pima Heart and Vascular has an amazing opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner; to work with a Non-Invasive Cardiologist. This is a chance to work with the largest private cardiology practice in AZ. The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the Cardiologist as well as independently.
Candidates must have:
- Two years of experience working as experienced out-patient/inpatient Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is preferred.
- Although this position is both outpatient and inpatient; the majority of the time will be INPATIENT, so we are looking for candidates with strong inpatient experience.
- Master’s degree in nursing; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Active AZ license or willing to apply.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Skills:
- General health care and cardiovascular patient assessment and exam skills
- Cardiology experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to function independently
- Can demonstrate knowledge and competence in basic cardiovascular technology, i.e. EKG, patient assessment and management of care, etc.
Experience:
- Cardiology NP Outpatient: 1 year (Preferred)
- Inpatient: 1 year (Preferred)
- Cardiovascular patient assessment: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- DEA Certification
- ACLS Certification
- BLS Certification
- AZ license or willing to apply
Job Type: Full Time
Monday – Friday with some weekend call (9-10 weekends per year)
