Position Overview
Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) is growing to serve our community. More than 2,000 primary care and specialty physicians, as well as more than 800 advanced practice clinicians, are employed by the health network through LVPG.
This position is located in Allentown Pennsylvania at Valley Health Partners Community Health Center. Valley Health Partners Community Health Center (VHP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the health & wellness of the Lehigh Valley vulnerable community members and is recognized as a Federally Qualified Health Center-Look Alike (FQHC-LA). VHP Lehigh Valley Physicians Practice provides direct patient care to vulnerable populations, including underserved communities, elderly patients, and those with limited access to healthcare resources. Physicians partner with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive and patient-centered care for vulnerable populations, including internal referrals to social services and other community resources. VHP Lehigh Valley Physicians Practice (LVPP) is seeking a Physician who is passionate about providing high-quality, accessible, cost-effective adult primary care to a highly complex patient population and serving as a role model for medical residents, demonstrating professionalism, compassion, and empathy in patient care and teaching interactions.
We are seeking a Physician who has a passion in teaching as well as working in an underserved community. The position will be split into 60% of the time teaching residents and 40% of the time practicing. Lehigh Valley Physician Practice is open Monday-Friday 8a-5p and has 4 Physicians, 3 APC's, and 30 other team members that you will be working with. LVPP has robust embedded wrap around services and resources such as behavioral health, diabetes educators, social workers, RN case managers, and pharmacists. LVPP is also the ambulatory training site for Internal Medicine, transitional year, and psych residents. Call is rotated between the Physicians and APCs at this practice. Hospital rounding will be expected on average 7-8 weekends.
The division of internal medicine is growing with more than 20 practices and 100 clinicians.

Qualifications
- Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
- A current Pennsylvania Medical License or the ability to obtain one is required
- 3 years of Primary Care/Hospital experience
