About the job Material Handler
Job Summary: The Material Handler at Talent Source will be responsible for moving, storing, and managing materials and products within the warehouse. This role involves a range of tasks including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:

• Material Movement:
• Load and unload materials from trucks and other transportation vehicles.
• Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and other designated locations using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
• Receiving and Inspection:
• Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate records of materials and products in the warehouse.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in inventory audits.
• Organize and store materials according to company standards and procedures.
• Order Fulfillment:
• Pick and prepare materials and products for shipping according to customer orders and specifications.
• Pack and label shipments accurately and securely to prevent damage during transit.
• Warehouse Maintenance:
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment by sweeping, organizing, and removing debris.
• Ensure materials are stored safely and accessibly.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in safety training sessions and report any safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Equipment Operation:
• Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
• Documentation:
• Accurately complete and maintain logs, records, and forms related to material handling activities.
• Assist in the preparation of shipping documents and labels.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar role is preferred.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and order processing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive tasks.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

• The position involves regular exposure to a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
