Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:

Brief, plan, and conduct ground and flight tests of aircraft. Perform preflight, in-flight, and post-flight procedures, functional checks, and maneuvers in accordance with flight operations procedures, FCF checklist, and other applicable publications. Maintain currency and proficiency on tasks/maneuvers required by applicable Naval instructions, the T-45 NATOPS instructions, and other related publications. Maintain thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, emergency procedures, operating limitations and restrictions, regulations, publications, and established procedures. Perform thorough preflight planning which includes, but is not limited to, filing flight plans/logs, and computing and evaluating aircraft performance data, weather information, notices to airman (NOTAMS), fuel requirements, and weight and balance data. Review aircraft maintenance forms/records to determine the checks required for functional check flights (FCF) and maintenance on the aircraft has been properly performed and documented. Briefs crew and passengers on a specific mission, normal procedures, emergency procedures, and equipment requirements. Performs cross-country aircraft ferry and rescue operations. Prepares, maintains, and completes forms, records, reports, and other related documents pertaining to aircraft maintenance in accordance with applicable technical publications and other directives as required. Participate in training to increase knowledge and job skills. Comply with established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment. Assist as directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government/Company-owned equipment and supplies. Work and communicate with internal and external clients and customers to meet their needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner. Plays an active part in problem resolution and is committed to quality service. Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Pilot certificate with an instrument rating with single-engine privileges. FAA Class II medical certificate. Minimum of 2,000 fixed-wing flight hours. Minimum of 500 T-45 flight hours. Current or prior FCF qualification (any military aircraft). Capable of completing Naval Aviation Survival Training (Aviation Physiology and Water Survival). Meet all anthropometric requirements for the T-45.
