About the Role

We're looking for a highly experienced Social Strategy Lead who loves what they do and is looking to do it for some of the biggest brands in the world. You are a leader in the social space, a well-rounded senior strategist and you live and breathe social in your day-to-day. Your client management and account skills are just as sharp as your social ones. You have a strong understanding of how brands grow in the Social Age and have done so for big clients in agency environments. You have experience from multiple categories, and across brands in different stages of growth. You are comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced, international work environment. You can adapt to a changing brief and be the voice in the room driving clarity and cohesion. You constantly explore what's next in the world of brand building and push clients and your team to try new things. You can manage senior clients and junior strategists. You know who won the last Film Grand Prix at Cannes and who's best on TikTok. You love what you do and take pride in your work. You thrive when working with creatives and with data analysts.

What You'll Do
  • Lead our largest clients in a day-to-day capacity - ensuring work is delivered, communities are managed, creative is pushing boundaries and analytics is proving it's working.
  • Oversee and manage a team of social strategists, creatives, community managers and analysts making sure the machine runs seamlessly.
  • Lead innovation and implementation of key strategic frameworks in social and brand strategy with the ability to develop end-to-end solutions with social at heart
  • Oversee quality and development of creative from briefing to live date ensuring the team is delivering on strategic goals and work is on time and well done.
  • Be the "go-to" thought leader and expert in integration of social and other inter-agency disciplines, driving clarity on complex programs with social at the heart.
  • Serve as the senior point of escalation and issue management on both agency and client sides.
  • Oversee development of all strategic deliverables as well as account deliverables (scope of work, staff planning, etc.)
  • Manage and grow senior team members of social strategy and social account teams.
  • Be a trusted client strategy partner on fast-paced, large-scale accounts.
  • Build strong relationships with creative leaders and creative community.
  • Become strong contributor in a global thought-leadership network.
  • Have a strong understanding of the Ogilvy social and PR business and lead the team in staffing, scoping, and resourcing conversations for your accounts.
  • Be a trusted advisor to C-Suite level clients and consistently suggest new offerings to client leads.
  • Helps contribute to the offerings and capabilities for the social and PR teams at Ogilvy and be an active participant in setting Ogilvy's vision and the vision of the Social Team to future proof our offerings.

What You'll Need
  • 10 - 15 years of experience
  • Proven experience in social strategy, community management and social creative management
  • Proven successful collaboration with creative leaders and complex creative teams
  • Proven thought-leadership in social media
  • Proven track record of building and growing senior-level client relationships and business
  • Management of teams of strategists, community managers, and cross-disciplinary teams
  • Knows how work with media experts with focus on social media
  • Deep knowledge of social media platform capabilities and specs
  • Understanding of landscape with focus on social media
  • Willingness to learn, explore, and reinvent
  • Experience in large agency environments
  • Experience with big name brands
  • Ability to multitask and juggle multiple priority projects at once
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to write and deliver persuasive presentations is critical
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to interpret ongoing research and media reports, guide and partner with social media experts to inform communications recommendations
  • The mindset to anticipate changes to the social landscape and help the team adapt

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications. Pay Range

$100,000 - $230,000 USD
