Description 1901 Group has an opening for a Sr. Windows System Engineer on a DoD program that will combine several large, enterprise resource planning systems (ERPs) into one common, modernized platform. The program is in the prototype phase where we are responsible for delivering the prototype environment and working closely with cybersecurity to achieve an Authority to Operate (ATO) for production.

Primary Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
- Implement cloud-first and Azure native architectures
- Build Infrastructure As Code (IaC) and utilize Cloud-native and shared services in an automated fashion
- Implement DevSecOps principles including auto-scaled architectures
- Build and configure and manage mixed Windows and Linux environments
- Use Modern coding principles, continuous integration pipelines, and automation-first implementations
- Work in an Agile process to plan your work into 2 week sprints and participate in daily scrum meetings
- Integrate with common services provided by the Government cloud broker
- Configure and tune cloud based monitoring solutions to ensure infrastructure health
- Support the security accreditation process by implementing required security controls, completing STIG checklists, and addressing security scan findings
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in the industry. Relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must have an Interim DoD Secret Clearance or higher clearance.
- Must have experience as a Cloud Engineer (Azure) to include tasks such as cloud migration, cloud networking, IAM, cloud optimization, and deployment automation (Infrastructure as Code).
- Experience with cloud-first, Azure native architectures and cloud PaaS & SaaS services such as databases
- Proficient with Python or equivalent programming language
- Must be committed to adopting and adhering to best practices.
- Must be able to effectively plan and prioritize tasking.
- Must be capable of performing high quality work both independently, and with a team, in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to interact positively, collaborate and communicate appropriately with team members
- Meet baseline 8570 certification [(IAT Level II) CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP].
- Must live within a commutable distance to Bridgewater, VA

- AWS or Azure certifications, Professional desired, or associates with experience additional experience

Pay Range: Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00
