We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Configuration Manager to join our team supporting a Department of Defense Office on a Systems Engineering & Technical Assistance program that provides intuitive, innovative, and reliable C2 and tactical communications solutions to warfighters. The Configuration Management Specialist shall be responsible configuration management (CM) issues associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management. Individual shall work closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.
Work you'll do - Provide CM analysis and recommendations ensuring compliance with DoD policies, service components, and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain government procedures for changes to engineering documents, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Develop, update, and maintain program and project databases and spreadsheets to support system engineering requirements.
- Perform data entry, problem resolution, and utilize statistical analysis tools including graphs, pivot charts, and custom reports.
- Collaborate with tool POCs to evaluate interfacing with other tools and Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO), documenting overlaps, deltas, or additional capabilities.
- Actively participate in various meetings including Configuration Change Board (CCB), Technical Review Board (PTRB), and others as required.
- Provide detailed minutes from a CM perspective and ensure continuity in CM reporting and processes.
- Inventory, catalog, and maintain all program software and hardware, ensuring compliance with DON Application and Database Management System (DADMS).
- Manage unique software licensing requirements and ensure all items are accounted for in the status records database.
- Manage CM documentation, baselines, and artifacts.
- Provide ongoing status reports for new or updated documents and coordinate with CM personnel to ensure process continuity.
- Support Engineering Changes and Ship Configuration Documentation in alignment with service-specific fielding requirements such as SHIPMAIN and Fleet Readiness Configuration Board (FRCB).
- Ensure that all tasking in the program and project databases is current, complete, and adheres to scheduled timelines.

Qualifications Required:
- Secret clearance required to be considered for this role.
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- 10 years professional experience in CM, preferably in a DoD environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship.
- Experience with CM tools and databases such as Git, SVN, Perforce, JIRA, SPIDER, CM Pro, NSERC, and Naval Lift.
- Knowledge of the DoD ECR and PTRB processes including timelines and development of briefing materials.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile or DevOps.
- Knowledge of build automation tools, continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and deployment processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Less than 10% travel is required.
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $97,875 to $163,125.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
