Job Description
VSC Fire and Security is seeking candidates for the position of Field Director of Low Voltage.

What you need:

  • Seven to ten years experience in the low voltage industry with strong background in Life Safety and Asset Protection systems.
  • Bachelors degree in business administration, electrical engineering or a related field; master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience in vendor management, business development, and leadership roles.
  • Excellent understanding of Life Safety Low Voltage Systems, Integrated Security Systems, and related technologies.
  • Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support business needs and attend industry events.
  • Ability to pass various background checks.


What you will do:

  • Vendor Relationship Management:
    • Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key vendors and partners in the low voltage industry.
    • Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.
    • Identify and evaluate potential new vendors to enhance the company's offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Business Development:
    • Lead the development and execution of the low voltage business strategy across all divisions.
    • Identify market trends, opportunities, and competitive threats to inform business decisions and strategic initiatives.
    • Collaborate with regional and division leaders to set goals, develop action plans, and monitor progress to ensure the achievement of business objectives.
  • Leadership and Development:
    • Mentor and develop low voltage managers across the company, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-centricity within the low voltage teams.
    • Ensure alignment of low voltage teams with corporate goals and objectives, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Training and Curriculum Development:
    • Work closely with the training team to design and implement training paths and curriculum tailored to the needs of low voltage professionals.
    • Ensure training programs are up to date with the latest industry standards, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust as necessary to meet the evolving needs of the business.


This role is designated as safety-sensitive due to responsibilities that could entail the use of motor vehicles, mobile equipment, working at heights, climbing ladders, and utilizing lift equipment.
