Job Title: Legal Counsel / Associate Corporate Counsel (Litigation and Investigations)

Location: New York, NY

Description: Leading global IT consulting firm with over 400,000 associates in more than 45 countries seeks an in-house counsel experience in commercial litigation and internal investigations to join a growing legal department.

Primary responsibilities:
• Assisting in the management of any and all commercial disputes, litigations, arbitrations, and investigations towards cost-effective resolutions
• Responding to subpoenas, civil investigative demands, and similar information requests
• Managing regulatory and compliance issues in a variety of subject areas, including data security, export controls, and immigration
• Coordinating discovery, including document collection and production
• Overseeing and managing outside counsel as needed
• In conjunction with the labor and employment team, assisting in the management of employment disputes, litigations, and arbitrations
• Assisting with special projects as may be assigned

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
• J.D. or equivalent from an accredited U.S. law school
• Admission to practice law in New York state, or the ability to promptly register as in-house counsel within the State
• Three to six years' experience with complex commercial litigation or governmental investigations at a major law firm, corporate law department, or governmental agency
• Experience overseeing and managing internal investigations
• Strong negotiation and presentation skills
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to perform independently as well as part of a team
• Familiarity with legal issues affecting a global corporation, particularly within the IT consulting industry
• Prior experience with U.S. labor and employment matters a plus
