This is a leadership role with responsibility over an accounting and clerical department. As the Controller, you will be planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff. What you get to do every day
- Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team
- Responsible for month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
- Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
- Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure efficient and successful firm-wide operation
- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash
- Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis
- Evaluate, apply and refine policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies
- Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports
- Respond on items beyond formal job responsibilities
- Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed
Requirements- Degree in Accounting
- 5+ years' experience in Controller role with revenues over 40MM annually.
- Meet the travel requirements, 10% minimum
- Manufacturing(standard cost), Inventory management
- ERP system experience
- Multi entity oversight
