Job Description: - The position is for a highly creative mechanical design engineer to support the development of and to establish design concepts of mechanisms and structures.
- The scope includes conducting trade studies, solid modeling, and conducting preliminary analysis in support of developing solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content which supports timely closure that supports the project's milestones.
- Generate and release drawings using CAD software.
- Primary job responsibilities include conceptual and detailed mechanical design, tolerance analyses, and performing trade studies.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience
- Proficiency with CREO (Pro/Engineer) is required.
- Experience with developing and interpreting GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 is required.
- Experience with PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) releases is required.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills are required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills are highly desirable.
