    Certification Details
  • BLS certification required.
  • PT license required.
    Job Details
  • Inpatient Physical Therapy position available.
  • Primary placement in the Acute Rehab Unit (ARU), a licensed Inpatient Rehabilitation facility (IRF).
  • Anticipate floating to the main Acute Inpatient units as well, pending census.
  • Depending on the experience of the applicant, placement could vary.
  • Competence with various patient conditions required.
    Job Requirements
  • Confidence managing patients recovering from neurological impairments such as stroke.
  • Competent with SCI/TBI.
  • Independent with evaluation, treatment, discharge planning, family training, equipment prescription.
  • Experience in Acute Rehab Level of Care (IRF) is preferred.
  • Manage patients with Neurolgical Diagnosis: Stroke, SCI, TBI, etc.
  • Work with Spine surgeries, Poly-ortho trauma, Prolonged hospitalization/debility, Fall/hip fracture/repair, and acute surgical, oncology, med/tele.
    Schedule Information
  • Monday-Friday, 8-4:30.
  • 1 Saturday per month required.
  • If holiday falls on M-F, required to work unless prior arrangements made.
  • Not required to work Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
    Unit Specific Information
  • Rehab Aides: 1 Rehab Tech.
  • Paired with PT preceptor on the 1st shift.
  • Full time staff available as needed for ongoing orientation.
  • MGH Rehab employs 70+ therapists (PT/OT/ST, full time, part time, per diem).
    Additional Details
  • BLS certification is necessary.
  • 2 supervisor references required at submittal.
  • Modules are required to be done before the start of the assignment and take about 3-4 hours to complete (time not billable).
  • Travelers will work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years).
  • Holiday time off will be considered but not guaranteed.
