ICU experience. Procedures performed on unit: Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, EVD insertions. Schedule Information Number of Beds: 16 Patient Ratios: 2:1, sometimes 1:1 or 3:1 depending on acuity/staffing Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule. Schedule is done in 4 week increments. Self-scheduling to an extent. Manager will move shifts to balance out schedule. Unit Specific Information Dress Code: Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms. Additional Details Unit staffing description: unit secretary staffed during dayshift. Occasional nurse extern working as a tech. Type of equipment: Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000.
