DescriptionGeneral Description: The Project Manager, Construction Services Group, will be responsible for identifying, establishing and executing marketing, sales, staffing and project delivery strategies for Program and Construction Management services such as on-site Technical Owner's Representatives [Extension of Staff (EoS)] and Construction Inspectors.Our PM/CM group supports Clients primarily around those disciplines in various roles such as the on-site Owner's Representative, on-site Construction Inspectors, and/or Systems Integrators.
Overall Responsibility: Your ability to increase business and profits, the ability to lead and direct activities of all aspects of teams as related to sales, presentation and negotiating skills, and an excellent ability to create and maintain optimal working relations with colleagues and clients will be keys to your success. This also includes project delivery and partial utilization goals (up to 50% in a year) ensuring the needs of the client are met with what is promised. Included in the goals will be practice revenue, profit, as well as personal utilization targets.
Responsibilities: - Under the direction of the Sr. Vice President - Construction Services, this role will lead planning, implementing, and managing the business development and staffing needs to grow the Program Management and Construction Management practice.
- Identifying and proposing on potential business by contacting new and current potential business partners, discovering, and exploring business opportunities.
- Where appropriate leading as the "Prime" Consultant and identifying/assembling a team of Subconsultants.
- Responsible for interviewing, sourcing, and building a bench of qualified CM, PM, Inspectors, and Systems Integrators to staff current and prepare for future opportunities related to target pursuits whether identified by this position or brought in from others in the organization.
- Collaborate with Regional Directors to create regional PM/CM business and target plans and align on new business approach and execution.
- Studying and advising the Sr. Vice President (CS) on integration of new ventures with Company strategies and operations, examining risks and potentials, creating estimates around the Company's and client's needs and goals.
- Assist the Marketing Team with proposal preparation and lead technical approach writing, as well as staffing organization and pricing under the supervision of Sr. Vice President (CS)
- Providing the Sr. Vice President with comprehensive, timely, and accurate information by performing comprehensive analysis of Client Capital Planning and project scheduling.
- Preparing regular business development reports for the Sr. Vice President pertinent to performance of the CS vertical along KPI's and reporting Metrics as established.
- Providing leadership, direction, guidance, and support to on-call staff situated remotely and working with teams to achieve goals and objectives, creating broader understanding of markets throughout Company.
- Providing technical guidance, explanations, and information to other team members in order to enhance in-house capabilities in the PM/CM line of business.
- Preparing, justifying, and/or administering the budget for development plans, assessments, and cost-effectiveness and return on investments.
QualificationsNeeded Skills:- In-depth knowledge of all aspects of a construction project.
- Good understanding of capital development programs.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize tasks.
- Work well under pressure
- Detail and safety-oriented.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Ability to create and maintain productive relationships with employees, clients, and vendors.
- Takes direction and guidance in a fast paces growing environment from supervisor moving forward with objectives.
Education/Experience Minimum:- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of ten years' direct PM/CM and/or operational experience with a minimum of five years' complex project management experience required.
- Solid understanding of construction management methodologies and hands-on experience in managing all aspects of project delivery.
- Ability to drive and maintain a safe driving record.
- Valid state driver's license (any in US).
- In possession of appropriate paperwork to gain and maintain employment in the US.
- Ability to meet worksite security requirements.
- Certifications as a PE, PMP, ABIA or other related credentials are desired.
