Blue Ridge Power (BRP) is seeking a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, to join our team! The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for performing and reviewing monthly financial analyses of the company and project-specific performance against forecasts and budgets. They will develop financial models that help senior management optimize corporate cashflows, and provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.

This position will report directly to the VP, Financial Planning & Analysis.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform and review monthly financial analyses of the Company and project-specific performance against forecasts and budgets.
  • Assist in the completion of monthly MD&A packages that will be distributed to the executive leadership team.
  • Create a feedback loop with project estimating to ensure the company is informing future estimates to improve accuracy.
  • Develop financial models that help senior management optimize corporate cashflows.
  • Communicate with partners and team members regularly regarding new and current projects to ensure the latest info is being updated in real-time.
  • Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
  • Help build the FP&A brand across Blue Ridge Power by fostering relationships with the functional areas of the business to assist in more accurate forecasting and problem-solving abilities.

Must-Haves:
  • 3-5+ years' experience in an Accounting or Financial Analyst role.
  • Data-driven storyteller.
  • Must be able to present data concisely and efficiently while having detailed backups to support conclusions.
  • Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines during the monthly and yearly forecasting processes.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to see the bigger picture and how issues could affect the business.
  • Familiarity with analytical techniques and tools.
  • Must be able to explain the conclusion of analyses to Executive leadership at a macro level, but also to the end user at a micro level.
  • Must be customer-focused with the ability to foster relationships across the business and with third-party customers.
  • Must demonstrate integrity in negotiations and with business dealings with internal and external customers.

Nice-to-Haves:
  • Construction accounting/finance experience.
  • Public Accounting experience.
  • Accounting and Financial Systems experience.

Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business administration or equivalent degree required.
  • Master's degree in finance or accounting preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Demand:
  • This position can be remote, preferably in comfortable traveling distance to one of our BRP office locations in Asheville, or Fayetteville, NC.
  • Office visits may be required when needed. This could include travel from 20-25%.
  • Must be able to sit/stand at a desk and utilize a computer, for extended periods.
