Summary

This position provides comprehensive human resources support to the HR National Manager and field HR Managers, ensuring the efficient operation of the HR Operations Team. This role collaborates with HQ HR teams to ensure that field operations adhere to HQ policies and procedures. Responsibilities include overseeing and managing ongoing training and development of HR staff, maintaining and developing effective internal procedures and standards, monitoring and implementing applicable federal, state, and local laws to ensure legal compliance, and supporting recruiting and employee retention strategies.

Responsibilities
  • ER and Labor
    • Support HR Operations teams and colleagues to resolve challenging issues related to the employment and dismissal of staff
    • Provide advice and feedback to HR staff on a wide range of topics including attendance, workers compensation, FMLA, ADA, LOA, union avoidance, and other employee relations and labor issues
    • Review violations, conduct employee counseling and decide course of action for employee misconduct Policies, Procedures, and Processes
    • Ensure that all local HR Operations Team policies and procedures are compliant with HQ policies and procedures
    • Ensure that local HR teams are providing necessary support to entire employee base at business unit, at all times Supplement that support as required Internal/External Customer Correspondence
    • Develop or coordinate communication with all internal departments or company-wide as necessary
    • Communicate with outside companies such as Staffing Agencies to ensure contractual compliance Compliance and Reporting
    • Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws, regulations, and company policies
      • Prepare and submit HR-related reports and documents as required by regulatory bodies and management
    • Monitor changes in federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and assess their impact on HR policies and practices
      • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and develop corrective action plans
  • Benefits, Compensation and Payroll Data Administration
    • Work as a liaison between business unit and HQ to assist local HR staff with individual needs and/or requests
    • Ensures all facilities maintain a current pay plan by scheduling and conducting job evaluations, preparing pay budgets, monitoring and scheduling of individual pay actions, and completing payroll actions forms
    • Recommends, plans and implements pay structure revisions as necessary, including short-term incentives and bonuses
  • Project and Training Support
    • Provide support for HR projects and initiatives, contributing to project planning, execution, and evaluation
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and deliverables Administrative Support
    • Prepare and distribute HR-related documents, reports, and presentations as required including complex excel spreadsheets, word documents, standard operating procedures, compliance audits, and projects
    • Provide high-level administrative support including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence with all org levels

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to multiple Human Resources teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and team development skills
  • Must be team-oriented
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • 7 - 10 Years of Direct Experience in Human Resources Management Required
    • 8 - 13 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
  • Experience in a wide range of HR disciplines required
  • 1 Year of Indirect Experience Required
    • 3 Years of Direct Experience Preferred
  • 1 - 3 Years of Supervisory Experience Required
    • 4 - 7 Years of Supervisory Experience Preferred
  • PHR or SPHR Preferred
