A receiver is responsible for confirming receipt of items delivered from distribution centers to the warehouse. Receivers carefully evaluate order invoices, ensuring the correct quantity of the items, and inspect the merchandise for any possible mislabeling and defects. They also coordinate with the distributors for replacement and verifications concerning the delivery. A receiver must have excellent organizational and analytical skills, especially on billing discrepancies by utilizing specific shipping software to monitor the delivery activities.
Requirements
Essential Functions:
Receives Purchase Orders.
Prints Bills of Lading/TOs.
Schedules Inbound Shipments.
Files Shipping and Receiving Paperwork.
Greets and checks in Delivery Drivers, then directs them to correct Dock Number.
Processes Return Receipts.
Audits Invoices and resolves discrepancies.
Checks and updates Google Drive, as required.
Checks Inventories and troubleshoots inventory discrepancies as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Lead, Supervisor or Manager.
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience with Shipping and Receiving in a manufacturing environment.
Previous experience in the food industry and knowledge of GMP's preferred.
Experience with ERP Software preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent

Work Environment - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or finger to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is infrequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.
