Get to Know Your Team: 

  • UT Health Quitman offers 25 private rooms, a 24-hour Level IV trauma center and Level III stroke center, surgical suites, advanced diagnostics, swing bed care, cardiopulmonary rehab, on-site physician clinics, and a sleep lab.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Echo studies/procedures for patients utilizing ionizing radiation and treatment of disease. 
  • Functions under the general supervision of the site supervisor and in cooperation with the cardiovascular team. 
  • This position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of patient care experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience performing Echocardiography studies
  • Echo Registry eligible per ICAEL standards
  • Echo registered in RDCS or RCS within six (6) months of hire date.
  • CPR Certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Registry in Adult Cardiac Ultrasound
  • ARDMS or CCI or Registry-Eligible Registered Echocardiography Technologist

Preferred Requirements:

  • Allied Health degree in Cardiac Ultrasound experience performing Echocardiagraphy studies preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
  • Registry in Pediatric Cardiac Ultrasound preferred
