Job Summary: West Grand School District 1-Jt is looking for a passionate Elementary School Teachers to prepare students for future education by teaching them vital subjects, such as reading, science and mathematics. They also help students develop critical thinking skills, learn to solve problems and understand abstract ideas. They develop and enforce classroom rules to teach proper behavior.
Qualifications: - Must possess a Colorado Teacher License or be able to obtain one.
- Appropriate endorsement for the Elementary School grade level assignment.
- Preferred elementary school teaching experience.
- Excellent oral and verbal communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
Essential Functions: - Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Ability to communicate in ways students will understand.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
- Strong communications, public relations and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates success in assisting English Language Learners to develop English oral proficiency and proficiency in reading, writing and math.
- Demonstrates success in working collaboratively with other professional staff on instructional improvements issues.
- Knowledge of best practices in literacy instructions.
- Adapt instruction to meet the individual learning needs of all students resulting in an increase probability of advance their achievement.
- Knowledge of MTSS
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
