Aerostar SES LLC (ASL) is growing! We are seeking a talented
Environmental Engineer to join our ASL team. The ideal candidate will have general experience in remediation systems and demonstrate a willingness to learn. This key role handles various aspects related to quality control and field activities. This position is in Jacksonville, Florida and 15-20% travel is required for projects.Responsibilities- Support proposals and estimating, regulatory permitting, and prepare completion reports and project closeout documents.
- Assist with evaluation, design, and performance of pilot tests for remediation systems.
- Manage and perform environmental construction activities such as trenching, piping, and site restoration.
- Communicate with clients and project managers regarding project status via email or phone.
- Coordinate, oversee, and supervise subcontractors and work crews.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited school
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification with a goal of obtaining P.E. license
- 3-9 years of experience in environmental remediation and consulting.
- Experience w/ the design, construction, and operation of remediation systems is desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer and MS Office skills.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver's license.

Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working EnvironmentJob is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
