Description

Under the direction of the President/CEO, the Director of Operations assures optimal process flows are established to meet strategic goals. In concordance with the strategic goals, establishes pathways to attain and sustain the aims which may encompass marketing, fiscal improvement, labor efficiencies, technology support, and board education. Establishes key performance metrics to monitor agency progress towards goals and actively guides the agency in modifying processes as needed to meet goal and key performance indicators for overall agency efficiency and efficacy. The director works directly with the CEO and supports the board of directors to execute Strategic Plan priorities that require prioritization for execution. opportunities for improvement. As a member of the Senior Management Team, communicates operational priorities and progress.
• Oversees all day-to-day operations of Information Technology (IT) and Facilities.
• Responsible for recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation of personnel for IT, Facilities and special projects
• Actively participates in coordination of staff development programs requiring IT support.
• Identifies barriers to efficient operations across the agency and proposes pilots and solutions to break through those barriers.

Includes supporting directors and managers with new approaches to stay on budget.
• Assures coordination of IT vendor agreements and relationships.
• Responsible for the execution of goals and objectives for operational aspects of the agency's strategic plan. Monitors/selects Key

Performance Indicators that accurately reflect agency progress.
• Works collaboratively with other directors and their managers and staff to achieve these goals.
• Responsible for financial planning, budget monitoring and variance management for projects to include capital budgeting in

alignment with agency goals and technology/facility needs.
• When assigned, lead individual teams in defining their specific marketing and referral growth plans to align with the overall

agency strategic plan
• Establishes baseline performance metrics for specific projects.
• Understands and articulates agency policies and procedures; addresses development of new policies as needed.
• Provides education and training specific to process changes and tools for improvement.
• Able to manage small tests of change for efficiency and to adopt or abandon non-essential or wasteful workflows.
• Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication.
• Project management as it relates to implementing new technology and efficient operations; management of some external

vendors relations.
• Manages vendor contracts, tracks renewal dates, follows process for extensions/terminations related to IT.
• Leads the agency in process improvement initiatives utilizing various tools in addition to LEAN Six Sigma methodology.
• Participates in conflict and complaint resolution.
• Participates in Incident Command Management/emergency preparedness. Assumes role of Incident Commander in the event of

an agency emergency (i.e.: fire, flood, power outage)
• Conveys a positive image of the agency through personal appearance, attitudes and behaviors.
• Performs other duties and special projects as appropriate or assigned.
• Identifies inefficiencies in operations and suggests options.
• Demonstrates good presentation skills. Presentations are concise, clear and formatted to audience.
• Works with Home Care and Hospice to prepare for CMS survey preparation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or another relevant field required.
  • Master's degree in business administration or another relevant field preferred.
  • A minimum of three (3) years operation project management requiring data collection, analysis, and measured evaluation of change/effectiveness.
  • A minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience with demonstrated staff supervision including performance management.
  • Certification and experience successfully leading projects in LEAN Six Sigma methodology preferred.
  • Experience in developing budgets and business planning
  • Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, using business management software.
