Key Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Operations Management:
- Take ownership of the financial performance and operational efficiency of the practice, including labor management, resource allocation, and compliance.
- Lead the annual strategic planning process, focusing on financial targets, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives.
- Translate the practice's vision into actionable plans and measurable outcomes, ensuring smooth operations and achievement of business objectives.
- Implement innovative technologies and initiatives to enhance operations, improve standards of care, and expand diagnostic and treatment capabilities.
- Collaborate with NVA support departments to leverage resources in Learning & Development, Human Resources, Marketing, Recruiting, and more.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and develop strategies to meet future demands.
Culture and People Leadership:
- Build a strong, motivated team by creating energy and excitement around shared goals and fostering organizational commitment.
- Actively manage relationships with veterinarians, practice leadership, and support teams to ensure a cohesive, high-performing environment.
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract a diverse, talented workforce, and spearhead employee engagement initiatives to drive retention and maintain a positive, thriving culture.
- Provide coaching and development opportunities, set clear expectations, and deliver timely feedback to support team growth.
- Recognize and reward high performance, while addressing underperformance effectively.
Qualifications and Experience: - Strong knowledge and experience in the equine veterinary industry is highly preferred.
- A bachelor's degree is required; a DVM/VMD (or equivalent) or a Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in P&L management and business operations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex business dynamics and competing priorities to achieve positive outcomes.
- Ideal candidates will be based in New York, Connecticut, or Florida.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.
