General Description of ResponsibilityUnder supervision VP Exploration and Production, the Program Manager will provide technical oversight, project work instructions and coordination of project deliverables with Laboratory Managers or Supervisors.
Specific Responsibilities - Provide Technical oversight and coordination of project work instructions
- To oversee and perform testing of samples and quality control specimens using specified methodology or work instructions.
- To assist in the training of less experienced employees.
- To collaborate with clients to develop analytical programs and customer workflows to meet client objectives.
- To work closely with Sales and Business Development.
- Attending local and regional workshops and conventions.
- It is highly encouraged to work with clients and internal staff for industry publications.
- To carry out the above responsibilities, and all others which may be assigned, in a manner demonstrating support for and adherence to the Company's Safety Policy and Procedures, Quality Policy and Procedures, Ethics Policy, Environmental Management System, Vision and strategy, and to exercise good judgment, commons sense, and diplomacy in so doing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Ph.D. orMS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and 2+ years industry experience is preferred. +15 years relative industry experience in lieu of advanced degree is acceptable.
- Must have a grasp of industry accepted experimental protocols and ability to process and QC experimental data.
- Prior academic or industry laboratory/project experience in routine to advanced analyses in one or more disciplines of; Analytical Chemistry, Drilling Fluids, Rheology, and Produced Fluids
- Expected to be able to use Excel and Word to record, process lab data and generate technical reports.
- The Program Manager should have a positive attitude and be able to multitask on several projects simultaneously.
- Able to work and communicate with people of diverse personalities and backgrounds.
