Job DescriptionThe Sr. Human Resource Manager will direct the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including supervisor responsibilities, employee relations, leave of absence, staffing, and enforcing company policies and practices. The Sr. HR Manager works closely under the direct supervision of the Director of Human Resources and the overall direction of the Vice President of Human Resources.
This position is based in the Manassas office and is required to work from this location.- In coordination with the Director of Human Resources, provide support and guidance to the HR generalists, management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise.
- May be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations and terminations.
- Managing the administration of the Affirmative Action Program's day-to-day functions to include staffing practices, compensation, job descriptions, and overall processes.
- Identifies and participates in benefit and compensation surveys to provide analysis and trends in compensation and benefits.
- Manages the requests for reasonable accommodation, including related leave of absence, to ensure timely and appropriate outcomes are documented and implemented.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Supports the department ticket tracking system to ensure timely responses.
- Assists the Director of Human Resources in maintaining up-to-date and accurate standard operating procedures.
Supervisory Responsibilities:- In coordination with the Director of Human Resources:
- Interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

RequirementsEducation and Experience:- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with eight (8) years of experience or twelve (12) years of direct experience.
- Certification from SHRM is a plus.
